Hi, I tried opening 3D > New 3D Extrusion From Selected Layer, because I thought I'd try and tilt an image I was working on. I couldn't get it work and my image disappeared (although the layers still show in the layers panel). I thought closing the document without saving the changes would reset it, but it hasn't and although I've done Window > Wordspace > Essentials, to turn 3D off, the image hasn't returned? The image is still showing in the layers panel though. The question thus being - how do I bring my image back into view on the main canvas area so I can continue restoring/repairing it? Any help would be hugely appreciated Screenshot

Ah. Thank you. Because I'd locked the layer I thought unlocking the layer was unlocking the guides when it clearly wasn't. Thanks again, Paul.

Hi, I have 3 artboards, the 3rd of which has been deleted, but I can't delete the grid guides I'd set up (image attached). How do I delete the guides left over from this board whilst keeping the guides on the other 2 artboards? Many thanks in advance

Hi I have an ellipse I'd like to make 3D but I only want it be thee dimensional on one plane. The desired effect I'm looking for is the same as the ring around the planet on the image below (i know how to cut the path out - it's just making the ellipse 3D I can't work out how to do). Hi, I have a document with a few different text boxes in and when not in use some of the text boxes show a '+' sign inside a square box, but other text boxes don't (image attached below). What causes this and how can I turns this off? Many thanks

Hi, I have an A4 poster I'm going to be sending to a commercial printer. If I send it as a print ready PDF can i embed the fonts in the document instead of having to outline the text? On the main body copy of the poster the text is 12pt and looks awful when outlined. If it is possible to embed the fonts, how do I go about doing this? Many thanks

Hi, I have shape I would like to turn into a transparent blur object. In the image below this means I would like the black rectangle to effectively work as a transparent blur, so the lettering that is underneath it is blurred. How would I go about doing this? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, I have a clipped image for a presentation slide that is going to be a .svg file. I've clipped the Twitter logo into an image and offset the image but when I save the file, the excess of the image is saved. How do I save it so everything outside of the artboard size is removed? In the image below you can see the wireframe of the image that is outside of the artboard. Any help would be awesome.

Hi, I want to add some dark blue to the shadows of an image, but the tutorials on this all focus on using the blue sliders in a different way (i.e. using the curves and pulling more blue in). However, I would like to add a specific hex colour #272C48 (dark blue - which is a corporate colour for a website I"m working on). Is it possible to add a specific hex colour to the shadows of an image? Thanks

Yes that's what I'm doing. I click on an anchor points with the white arrow tool and move it, but then when I hit return the blue path outline/anchor point changes as I want it to, but the white fill stays as it was. It's the same if i use the black arrow tool as well — I can move the path outline but the shape I've created with the fill applied just stays where it is and doesn't change. It's sending me absolutely f*cking insane.

Hi JJ I'm not on that version, I'm on cc2018 and i don't have that option. Also I don't think that would solve my problem. I want to work out how when I've drawn a path I can edit it and the edits show after i've hit return/enter, instead of just the blue path outline changing but the shape/path doesn't. Here is the dialogue box i see under preferences anyway

Hi I've drawn a path in photoshop, but I want amend it. When I use the white arrow tool it allows me to move the anchor points, but when it moves the anchor point the original path shape remains. This is so infuriating when you're used to using something intuitive like Adobe illustrator. Does anyone know how you edit a path in Photoshop, so the actual path and fill etc change when you move the anchor point as you would expect to happen if you're from planet Earth? In the 4 images below I've shown 1) the path in the paths panel, 2) the path layer, 3) how the path looks when the fill is applied, 4) how the old shape remains after you move the anchor point and hit return. Any help would be amazing.

Hi If I have a selection and jump this to a new layer with cmd + J, how do I then bring the marching ants selection back on the duplicated new layer (so I can fill it with a solid colour)? For the shape i would draw it and scan it in and then amend according. It's more the texture effect that makes it look like liquid paint that I can't work out how to do.

Hi, That won't make a difference because the image will still stay the same size regardless of what I do to the art board. The actual rectangle I used to clip the the picture to the art board is the same size as the art board (i.e. it art board is currently smaller than the image anyway). Paul.

Hi I'm doing a Facebook banner image and I'm clipping the background image to the size of the art board (using a rectangle the same size as the art board), but when I export the image as a JPEG, it keeps the original image boundary as part of the image (in the image below the area of white is the original image area that has been clipped, the dark inner rectangle is the art board). How do I save just the clipped area as it's own JPEG?

Hi, If I have a clip group with letters clipping an image - how do I permanently remove the part of the image that isn't part of the clip path? It's still showing the bounding box for the image. Because this is going to be a for the web, I need to export the clipped text when its finished so it fits the artwork bounds, but the image underneath is preventing this (see image below) Any help would be awesome.
